Founded under the name Hogeschool voor Wetenschap & Kunst (WENK) from a merger between eight university colleges: De Nayer Instituut, Honim, Kardinaal Mercierinstituut, Lemmensinstituut, Narafi, Sint Lucas architectuur, Sint Lucas Beeldende kunst, en Vlekho. That school was merged with Hogeschool Sint-Lukas in 2012, and was renamed into LUCA School of Art.
