Welcome to our Flemish Organization Registry database, referred to hereinafter as “FOR”.

The main objective of FOR is to provide an overview of all organizations relevant for the Flemish Science, Technology, Innovation and Economy (STIE) landscape.

FOR offers the following opportunities:

• An enriched database to identify and structure unique actors that are currently involved in research or could be involved in research in the future;
• Facilitated linking of datasets collected by various entities and at different levels of governance;
• Increased visibility of Flemish organizations in international reference databases for organizational identification.

FOR combines its own generated data with publicly available data from the Research Organization Registry (ROR, an international reference database of unique organizations related to research), the Kruispuntbank van Ondernemingen (KBO, which includes details of Belgian organizations), and the CORDIS-database enabling a link with data related to EU R&D Projects (EU Participant Identification Codes (EU PIC). FOR is offered “AS IS” and includes no warranties including, but not limited to, any express or implied warranties of sufficiency, completeness, accuracy, use, application or performance, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, absence of visible or latent defaults, validity of patent rights or non-infringement of third party intellectual property rights.

The user remains fully liable for the use it wishes to make of FOR.
